Portable computers, advanced gadgets and the Internet, as the leading technologies of current changes, are not only highly developed tools and transmitting media. They are presenting a rapid contemporary apparatus in which ideas, capabilities and new worlds emerge. Computer engineering is making the point clearer because humans are creating new techno-organisms instead of remaining dependent on natural programming. The question of the human-computer interface, the nexus at which man and machine, real space and virtual domains, come together, is not only to be understood as a matter of hardware, but rather as one of evolutionary, cultural and global economic postulate under which we consummate and experiencing our world and life in general.
The real issue is now more than ever a social and ethical one. We are living in the era of humankind, that is not yet fully developed the social model corresponding to the new implosive condition of technological advances. Reality has shifted to the level of a code; to the level of some inner information.
The essential question nowadays is not just What is HUMAN but also What is REAL?
It is easy to become so immersed in technology, that we started to ignore, what we know about life.
