The Deus Machina Theater (DMT) project focuses on the experimental use of advanced robotics in the traditional art of marionette puppetry. The aim of the project is to study and develop ways to integrate an industrial robotic arm into marionette puppet theatre, and how to use this technology to improve puppet control, create more complex movements and bring new experiences to the audience. The project combines the innovation of industrial robotics and the charm of puppetry into an exceptional visual and movement experience. The centrepiece of the project is a performance that includes the interaction between a precise and powerful industrial robot arm and the Robotnica marionette doll.
