Each of us has likely created multiple digital profiles – some real, others fictional. But have you ever wondered what happens to those profiles once you stop using them? Did you know that data misuse can occur not immediately, but long after you’ve forgotten the profile even existed? And have you heard the saying that everything posted online stays there forever?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

While some platforms allow you to delete your profiles, the vast majority do not – and you can never be 100% certain that your data has truly been erased. After all, the term \u201cin the cloud\u201d is just a metaphor for a remote computer. And if that computer isn\u2019t yours, you have no control over what happens to it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ghostprint<\/strong> offers insight into the creation of both real and so-called fake profiles – and what becomes of them. It explores the consequences of careless digital identity creation: spam and phishing emails, unsolicited calls from abroad, identity theft, data breaches, financial fraud, and more. All of this – and more – will be reflected in the statistics of each generated profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visitors will be invited to interact by scanning their fingerprint, which triggers the creation of a random digital profile using various online and AI tools for sound, image, and text. An IR sensor detects the user\u2019s presence, activating a welcoming sound. The fingerprint scan and profile generation are displayed on a monitor via a local web interface.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the profile is generated, the user will be given the \u201coption\u201d to confirm or delete it – but in both cases, the profile is stored. Because in the cloud, something always remains.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Each profile also requires two-factor authentication (2FA), which the user can invent and enter via a keyboard. A counter will also track the total number of Ghostprint-generated profiles.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
