Composed of iron ore from the Erzberg mine in Eisenerz, Austria, and embedded electronic components, the work brings together geological material and interface technology. The ore\u2014containing magnetite, hematite, limonite, silica, aluminum, and trace minerals\u2014points to the material origins of devices typically perceived as lightweight and immaterial. By transforming a tool designed for precision and ease into an object of weight and resistance, the work exposes the disproportion between minimal digital gestures and their material consequences. The \u201cclick,\u201d usually effortless and abstracted, is here re-grounded in the density of extracted matter.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Volkan Din\u00e7er (<\/strong>b.1997, TR) is a media artist, uses multidisciplinary practices in his productions. He studies at Kunst Universitat Linz Department of Interface Cultures and Sculptural Conceptions &amp; Ceramic. He lives and continues his artistic production and research in Linz, Austria. His works focus on inter-system relations and ecological problems within a research field that spans a wide range from perception tendencies to cultural materialism. Following these his master research is on understanding the organization ways of organisms through cybernetics and information theories.
